We are all born with an innate wisdom and a capacity to love, to heal, to give to others, and to make our lives meaningful. Th is humanistic concept has been confused as being a secular idea that denies the existence of God. However, humanism is deeply spiritual. It teaches compassion and reliance on and faith in a power beyond us, a wisdom more powerful than we are. All of the major religions refer to this wisdom as something we must accept within ourselves. Christianity refers to the Christ spirit within, Buddhism refers to Buddha Nature, and Hinduism refers to Brahman.
