Many of the theorists we interviewed had little difficulty identifying how clients changed them professionally. You have already seen how one’s model of practice is strongly impacted by those seminal clients who push clinicians to grow in new ways in order to accommodate them. It has been far more challenging, however, to elicit examples of personal transformation-those times when therapists have been irrevocably changed beyond professional boundaries.
