ABSTRACT
The concept durability has become a concern of time. The durability of glass is its ability to maintain its original characteristics during a certain period of time. Because glass can be affected by both loads and the environment in which it is operating its characteristics may change in time. The durability of a glass structure should not be seen as something absolute. Instead it is more appopriate to consider the time period during which the main characteristics will not fall below certain prescribed limits.
