ABSTRACT

ERIC DEREN has been working as a VFX and animation professional since 1993, has operated Dzignlight Studios since 1996, and has been working with stereoscopic 3D professionally since 1999. His breakout moment was a 2007 live-action stereoscopic aerial skydiving short, achieved years before the advent of small, off-the-shelf, synchronized stereoscopic cameras. In addition, Deren built a facility of 85 artists to support the 3D conversion of part of James Cameron’s Titanic, is an accomplished camera operator, and builds motion control systems for 3D time lapse projects.
