ABSTRACT

“How do you address issues of noncompliance and aggression in the play room?” is a common supervision and training question that comes up time and again from new and seasoned clinicians. This may be one of the more complex treatment issues when working with children and adolescents, especially when working with emotional and behavioral issues, complex trauma, and family circumstances. Authors share their perspective, clinical training experience, and suggestions for helping to decrease issues of noncompliance and aggression.
