ABSTRACT

The fundamental therapy theory or approach employed by a play therapist informs all aspects of the therapeutic treatment process. In an effort to understand and experience these important aspects from different perspectives, ten play therapists answer the question, “Do you have a primary play therapy theory or approach you use the most and why?” Understanding the breadth of diversity and fibers of unity will serve the play therapist well when exploring their own fundamental underpinnings and approach to play therapy treatment.
