ABSTRACT

The English translation of Bernstein’s book ascertains his role in establishing a solid scientific foundation for a science of the motoric system, and helps scientists and researchers to catch up with his original ideas. The question of whether Bernstein would pursue brain–computer interface (BCI) is only illustrative of the concern with the condition of science: the theology of the machine model vs. the understanding of the unfolding of life as an expression of anticipatory processes. Bernstein’s contributions will prove in the perspective of time to be fundamental in the manner in which Kepler’s and Newton’s contributions are considered.
