ABSTRACT

Machine learning is used in the field of healthcare to predict disease, for example types of breast cancer. In today's world one of the most common cancers among women is breast cancer. This kind of disease usually occurs in humans when abnormal cells grow abundantly, accumulate at a fast rate, which in turn develops lumps in the human body. This chapter talks about naive Bayes classifier which is implemented to determine the stage of a breast cancer patient and to grade the cell size. In the world of data science one among the classification algorithms is the naive Bayes algorithm, which is based on Bayes' theorem. The naive Bayes is a popular method for creating statistical predictive models. This algorithm is most commonly used for problems related to prediction for ease of implementation and usage. This classification algorithm is used to analyze the relationship between the attribute and various classes to determine the prediction or probability of the problem.
