ABSTRACT
To connect the newly constructed Piccadilly Line Extension tunnels that go to Terminal 5 at London Heathrow with the existing Piccadilly Line tunnels a structure called PiccEx Junction has been built. The structure encloses two turnouts connecting the eastbound and westbound Piccadilly Line Extension to the existing Piccadilly Line tunnels. The two turnouts are enclosed in a combination of sprayed concrete lined (SCL) tunnels and a cut and cover box.
