ABSTRACT
Bulk Metallic Glasses (BMGs) and their nanocomposites have emerged as high-performance materials for engineering, medical and applications. BMGs have gained widespread interest to both industrial and scientific community due to their favourable structural and chemical potential. Hence, in the present chapter, a detailed discussion has been presented on the properties of metallic glass and their nanocomposites. Efforts have been put to encapsulate all the known and recently discovered properties, along with the description of the possible mechanisms giving rise to those properties. Furthermore, for the closure of the chapter, the popular usage and the futuristic applications are also presented to account for the rising popularity of BMGs.
