ABSTRACT

Women entrepreneurs tend to have different motivations and intentions in entrepreneurship than men. Where women have good job options, they may prefer to work as employees. Economies with high levels of female unemployment have high levels of women who are established business owners. Women entrepreneurs have been making a considerable impact in almost all the segments of the economy, social life and life standards. In this dynamic world woman entrepreneurs are an important part of economic development and social progress. Finance is the main problem for any enterprise as well as women’s enterprise. Microfinance as a system offers some solutions on financial problems. Microfinance programs targeting women have become a major support of donor poverty alleviation strategies in the 1990s. More recently this program has become a very important way for fighting against poverty. This study attempts to understand the economic and social dimensions for women entrepreneurship and the aspect of microcredit.
