ABSTRACT

Oligohydramnios (AFI <5 or deepest vertical pocket <2 cm) on admission, during latency period, or at the last ultrasonographic examination is associated with shorter latency, and higher occurrences of PH, chorioamnionitis, and perinatal mortality (17,69,75). Conversely, adequate residual amniotic fluid volume identifies cases with elevated odds of perinatal survival (85-93%) and better long-term neurological outcomes (17,65).
