ABSTRACT

Our nutritional, mental, and physical status depends significantly on the food we eat and how we eat it. e food industry in developing countries is constantly facing the problems of growing population, food security, food safety, and hygiene. To address current and future threats to food security and food safety, as well as seek opportunities for increasing food availability, access, stability, and utilization, sustainable development of the food industry is urgent to provide a solution to save people in developing countries from potential food quality and safety risks. Moreover, demand for more animal protein has been increasing, which naturally brings up issues such as more consumption of feed and water for animals and a greater environmental burden caused by animal husbandry.
