ABSTRACT

With increasing demands of more ‘personalized’ products, the consideration of customer needs in the phase of product development is of great importance. A customer-oriented approach for product development, called Kansei Engineering was developed by Nagamachi for addressing the needs of customers, and has been widely adopted by many designers around the world. In this study, the Kansei Engineering method was applied to study the relationship between the requirements of adhesive bandages and the desirable product features from the customer perspective.
