ABSTRACT

Safe airplane automatic landing in the presence of disturbances is considered. The landing safety is characterized by the probability of phase coordinates falling outside the limits due to random disturbances acting on the airplane. This probability should not be greater than 10-6 + 10-8. Because of a high dimension and non-linearity of this problem and small values of probabilities to be estimated, the general-purpose statistical methods cannot be used to calculate the probability estimate in this case and specialized probability evaluation methods should be used. In the present paper work two mutually complementing groups of methods are employed to increase the efficiency of probability evaluation procedure.
