ABSTRACT

Laparoscopic adrenalectomy has already become a gold standard for selected adult patients. In pediatrics, experience is slowly growing. The advantages related to minimal access are best exemplified by laparoscopic adrenalectomy because the open approach carries the morbidity of a large incision and difficult exposure. This is particularly so in bilateral adrenalectomy. The technique allows for excellent exposure and is suitable for a wide range of conditions, including tumors.
