ABSTRACT
Liver, small bowel and renal transplantations have evolved from experimental procedures to accepted treatments for debilitating end-stage disease. Children undergoing such transplant procedures pose complex challenges to the anaesthetist, from not only their presenting condition, but also the effects of medical therapy such as immunosuppression and dialysis.
