ABSTRACT
The abdomen is entered, taking care not to cut into the tumor while incising the abdominal wall muscles. The small intestine is displaced toward the opposite side and covered with moist packs. The liver and the opposite kidney are inspected for the presence of any other disease; this is very rare in this condition. Free fluid is sampled and sent for cytology.
