ABSTRACT
First we need to consider what is meant by ‘quality in occupational medicine’. Case histories may help to illustrate how perceptions of quality vary, and how some of these
may be misconceived, both by ‘experts’ and by the workers and employers (or ‘clients’ as they are often termed nowadays).
