ABSTRACT
The SABERTM delivery system is a biodegradable, in situ forming depot for the controlled delivery of small molecules, peptides, and large biomolecules via parenteral administration. The sucrose acetate isobutyrate extendedrelease (SABER) system consists of a high viscosity, nonpolymeric liquid carrier material with one or more pharmaceutically acceptable solvents and other excipients (1,2). The system provides controlled delivery for several days to several months.
