ABSTRACT
The basic requirement is acceptable accuracy for all classes of microbes. Anything short of this basic need is a work-around of the real requirement. How we obtain this capability depends on three parts: (1) collecting and processing the sample, (2) analyzing the sample through something like a MS instrument that simply collects “all” the information from the sample, and (3) software to analyze.
