ABSTRACT
The starting point of this chapter is Finnish forest inventory (FI) and methods developed mainly in Finland and in other Nordic countries, that is, we mainly focus on studies performed here. However, for comparison, methodologies developed in Central Europe, the United States, and Canada are also discussed.
