- Survey Design and Implementation in HCI

Survey and questionnaire design has been a primary source of data collection within the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) context since the early days of the science (Baecker et al. 1995). Within the HCI context, surveys are dežned as compilations of questions that are implemented either via a computer or paper-and-pencil-based environment, that either have quantitative or qualitative scales, or are open-ended, and that target at extracting a variety of information from a representative sample of the target population (which is in most cases current or prospective users of an HCI system being evaluated).
