ABSTRACT

This is a chapter about tools that doesn’t really talk about the tools themselves, but about the human and organizational structure in which they are embedded. In today’s volatile software marketplace, there would be little point in the author of a book attempting to discuss the attributes of specific software products when these products may be obsolete by the time the book hits the shelves. That’s one reason you won’t find any software recommendations in this book. But, the other reason is that what software you use is far less critical to your success than how you use it, who uses it, and how you selected it.
