ABSTRACT

Modeling is a universal technique to understand the real world through abstraction. A model is a representation of a selected part of the world. The success of the model is measured in different ways and according to the model user’s expectations. To model the human brain, it is important to understand how the brain’s components (systems) function and the mechanisms of handling information in order to try to improve our understanding of its processes and the mechanisms of communication (Ramos, Ferreira, and Barcelo 2012). The human brain is an organ that contains many contrasts. It is compartmentalized, but certain functions seem to span large areas.
