Semantic Web Languages (SWLs), such as triple languages RDF & RDFS [77] (Resource Description Framework), conceptual languages of the OWL 2 family (Ontology Web Language) [340] and rule languages of the RIF (Rule Interchange Format) family [365], are languages to provide a formal description of concepts, terms, and relationships within a given knowledge domain and to be used as well to write the metadata that typically annotates any kind of web-data.
