ABSTRACT

Warfarin is a solid, odourless, and tasteless chemical substance. Warfarin is very harmful and hazardous. Warfarin is a general use pesticide (GUP). Warfarin was the rst anticoagulant rodenticide introduced and was rst registered for use in the United States in 1952. Warfarin is used for controlling rats and house mice in and around homes, animal and agricultural premises, and commercial and industrial sites. In liquid form, warfarin rodenticides may be ammable and explosive and should be kept away from heat, sparks, and ames. In solid form, warfarin rodenticides are not combustible. Warfarin incompatibilities with strong oxidisers may cause res and explosions.
