ABSTRACT

In order to compare and identify the species a leaf belongs to, several samples of leaves of di•erent plants were collected, and their spectral re¨ectance and absorption (spectral signatures) were measured. Ÿe species considered in this study were two of the most common varieties of sugarcane cultivated in Tucuman, Argentine, named TUCCP 77-42 and LCP 85-384 (labeled “742” or “S” and “384” or “T,” respectively), and four types of citrus: tangerine, grapefruit, orange, and lemon.
