ABSTRACT

The assimilation of these techniques and microsurgical principles into our specialty made the gynecologist much more conscious of avoiding peritoneal trauma and more careful in tissue handling and tissue care. It made the gynecologist more conscious of conservation and overall a better surgeon (11), skills that may well be lost with lack of teaching of reconstructive microsurgery.
