I. Introduction
The ever increasing popularity of small animal imaging with radio-tracers has
been made possible by recent technological progress in image resolution and
machine sensitivity (1). The ability to trace the spatial and temporal evolution
and distribution of radio-labeled molecules in appropriate animal models offers
researchers the opportunity to study disease progression, tumor growth, gene
expression, and pharmacokinetics of new drugs in new and valuable ways.
