Many forms of lymphoma occur commonly in older adults. In general, the principles of diagnosis and management of lymphoid malignancies are not influenced by patient age. Certain issues may require special attention, but as with other malignancies, with appropriate attention to physiological details, intelligent treatment decisions are likely to result in improved quality of life and survival in older patients with lymphoma.
