ABSTRACT

The “to do” list is at least arm’s length — developing the repository, integrating the ancillary systems, updating the architecture, expanding the training program, bringing up the intranet, and implementing the document imaging system. An A+ for the information systems team as it adds up accomplishment after accomplishment! Until, that is, a disaster strikes, and accomplishments fall like a domino effect. Who remembers the accomplishments when the basket holding all the eggs falls apart? Or who cares about past accomplishments or who accomplished them when the effects of a disaster impair, impede, interrupt, or halt a company’s ability to deliver its goods and services.
