ABSTRACT
Most of the research studies published to date have been performed with the same technology used by Dr. Riley and Dr. Powell. Using this generator and hand piece (Somnus Medical Technologies, now Gyrus ENT, Sunnyvale, CA), the impedance will usually range from 100 to 200O, the treatment temperature is 85C, and a total of 750 J of energy is applied to each lesion site. At each treatment session, three to four lesions are applied for a total of 2000-3000 J.
