recent series and reviews have focused on state-of-the-art
developments and current trends in luminescence instru-
mentation, techniques, and applications (Baeyens et al.,
1991; Cline Love and Eastwood, 1985; Dewey, 1991;
Eastwood, 1983; Eastwood and Cline Love, 1988;
Ichinose et al., 1991; Lakowicz and Thompson, 2001;
Schulman, 1985; Warner and McGown, 1991; Wehry,
1975; Wolfbeis, 1993). The biennial Fundamental
Reviews issue of Analytical Chemistry contains a review
of molecular luminescence spectrometry that focuses on
recent developments in theory, instrumentation, and appli-
cations (Agbaria et al., 2002).
