ABSTRACT
In some instances stenosis is not complete, but it narrows the opening of the ear canal to such an extent that any small accumulation of wax or debris causes impaction and hearing loss. In such cases the canal can be enlarged and the hearing problem resolved. However, it is essential to enlarge the canal in such a manner that it does not close again.
