ABSTRACT
I. Auricle: Elastic cartilage, elastic fibers in perichondrium, skin with subcutaneous layer posteriorly only, a few hairs, sebaceous glands, and very few sweat glands. The helix should meet the cranium at al level not below a line drawn straight back from the lateral canthus of the eye. The axis of the ear should not be > 10° off a perpendicular line dropped from the lateral canthal line.
