ABSTRACT

Accident analysis in the human-technology systems show that one of the main reasons for an increase in the number of accidents is a discrepancy between operators’ psychophysiological capability and professional demands. Accidents, as well as inefficient operation of equipment, lead to financial losses. Besides, the operators who fail to meet professional requirements have a worse physical condition and suffer from occupational injuries more often. That is why it is critical to monitor an operator’s psychophysiological professionally important qualities (PPIQ) during all stages of their professional career (initial professional selection, periodical, and daily checks). Such an approach not only reduces an adverse economic impact of inefficient and erroneous human actions, but also prevents a premature deterioration of people’s health and their premature retirement.
