ABSTRACT

The cosmetic patch is a new ‘‘cosmetic form’’ that is the result of the natural evolution of this technology in the pharmaceutical field. It appeared in the market just a few years ago, and although its applications are currently not too many, they have already been established as the new weapon to fight against the natural imperfections of our skin or to prevent the adverse reaction caused by environmental or other external influences. A broad spectrum of companies, including the major players, distributes at least one cosmetic-patch system. L’Oreal1, Estee Lauder1, Beiersdorf1, Cheseborough-Ponds1, Neutrogena1, Lavipharm1, as well as smaller manufacturers, participate in this special market.
