ABSTRACT
The increasing need for cost-effective ways to purify bioactive compounds such as lipids or lipidderived compounds is generating new approaches to downstream purification. Use of various chromatographic techniques is necessary for the isolation and purification of milligram to gram quantities for structural studies, bioassays, pharmacological tests, reference substances, and standards for qualitative determinations. Therefore, developing techniques for compound isolation and purification has become very significant.
