ABSTRACT
Tomotherapy is a unique form of intensity-modulated
radiotherapy (IMRT) based on a rotating X-ray fan
beam (1-3). The term “tomotherapy” derives from tomo-
graphic radio-therapy, literally meaning “slice” radiotherapy.
