ABSTRACT

Scott C. Bates, PhD is an associate professor in the department of psychology at Utah State University. With a background in social and environmental psychology, Dr. Bates has been pursuing the study of the non-nutritive benefits of having and/or tending plants in space in collaboration with researchers in the Space Dynamics Laboratory, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and the Institute for Bio-Medical Problems (IBMP) in the Russian Federation. His PhD is in experimental psychology from Colorado State University.
