ABSTRACT
This study is a first exploratory step in a larger in progress research project aiming at developing objective quantitative measures of visual aesthetic of computer interfaces. The main objective of this study was to investigate the possibility of finding high correlation between visual aesthetic and usability when performance measures are used in evaluating usability. An experiment was designed and conducted to test this hypothesis. Results showed relatively high correlations between visual aesthetic and usability measures.
