ABSTRACT

In food materials, major and trace elements are found. It is signicant to analyze trace elements in the food industry. Currently, a lot of research is being carried out in the eld of trace elements. Atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) and inductively-coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) are widely used for this purpose. The main advantage of ICP-MS over AAS is its multielement capability, which enables analysis of many elements in varied samples with a high throughput, with lower detection limits.
