ABSTRACT

This chapter illustrates the dependence of extraction rate of metal ions on aqueous phase pH. Study of extraction properties of lipophilic phosphorylated natural amino acids-sarcosine and β-alanine in relation to ions of Cu(II), Fe(III), Ni(II), Co(II), Mn(II), Zn(II) allowed to find that ions of Cu(II) are extracted by these chemical agents per cation exchange mechanism and go to organic phase in the form of composition complex [CuR2].
