ABSTRACT

The kinetic chain or mechanical perspective, it is a complex pattern of simple levers and pulleys which needs to accommodate a wide variety of movement and maintain stability through the movement. These levers or joints are then pulled at slightly different angles, according to the insertions and origins of the articulating muscles. Therefore, for them to phase together to form a stable and coordinated action, and cope with the additional stresses caused by gravity (downward pressure), is an intricate and exacting process.
