ABSTRACT

Sweet pepper (Capsicum annuum L. var. grossum) or also called bell pepper is one of the most popular and high value vegetable crop grown throughout the world [9]. Sweet pepper is more sensitive to environment, especially soil moisture and temperature. Soil moisture is one of the predominant factors influencing sweet pepper productivity [6] and drip irrigation is the best alternative. Hanson et al. [4] indicated that the consumed water in the drip method is 40% less than that of the furrow method. Ngouajio et al. [11] showed that drip irrigation reduced water consumption by 20% compared to the furrow irrigation.
