ABSTRACT
The end of the twentieth century and the beginning of the twenty-first has been characterized in architecture by a strong development of design, analysis and construction technologies. This technical development has generated an unprecedented situation of great freedom, in which almost every form can be solved and erected. Frank Gehry’s Guggenheim museum in Bilbao or Herzog & de Meuron’s Beijing Stadium are paradigmatic examples of this architectural freedom.
