3. Possibilities of Application of Collagen Coloid From Secondary Raw Materials as Modifier of Polycondensation Adhesives
This chapter presents the utilization of collagen jelly as one of several possibilities of leather waste reprocessing. In the frame of experimental research, soluble collagen was used as a modifier for polycondensation adhesives composition. Based on the results it can be said, that collagen has a significant influence on basic properties of ureaformaldehyde (UF) and phenol-formaldehyde (PF) adhesives and also on mechanical and physical properties of glued joints.
