Construction and Development of a Food Safety Standard System

Article 21 of the Food Safety Law provides that “the national food safety standards shall be formulated and announced by the health administrative department of the State Council, for which the standardization administrative

department of the State Council shall provide the serial number of national standards.” After the implementation of the Food Safety Law on June 1, 2009, the Ministry of Health and other relevant departments have done fruitful work in improving the management system of the safety standards.
