ABSTRACT
One of the critical operational issues associated with implementation of the adaptive designs discussed throughout this volume involves the process by which accruing data are collected, evaluated, and reviewed in order to make adaptations. This issue arises in any adaptive design, and certainly in trials where there is potential for adaptive randomization.
